NZXT Tempest EVO review

Well it’s time to shift our focus to the internals of the NZXT Tempest EVO. This is the real test of a quality chassis as we see any potential issues during our building phase.

As we can see the interior is all flat black which has become the normal colour of late. The area directly behind where the CPU socket sits has been removed for easy changing of cooling solutions. The PSU will be bottom mounted sitting on the 4 rubber support mounts with the fan facing down to draw air in from outside.  To assist with clutter the area on the back side of the tray behind the PSU has been cut away to provide ample space to route cables.

Next we have a shot of the two top 140mm fans, the rear 120mm fan and the internal drive bays.  We can think of lots of good ways to fill those bays up 🙂

The hardware included with the Tempest included 3 sets of drive rails for devices such as optical drives, all the screws and standoffs required for the motherboard install, a couple of cable routing clips, a PC speaker and a quick install guide.

The last picture shows the Power, Reset and HD LED and E-SATA cables as well as the front panel USB and audio cables that attach to headers on the motherboard.
