Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO CPU Cooler Review

At its current price of just under £100 in the UK, the Combat Liquid 360 HUD is reasonably priced for a 360mm AIO with an LCD screen. However, there is no screen customisation available, so it cannot be classed as a high-end LCD. Additionally, there are other 360mm LCD-equipped options available at a lower price. That said, the basic functionality of the LCD screen, the build quality, and the RGB lighting effects are all as good as you would expect at this price point.

In terms of thermal performance, it stacks up very well against some of the best-performing coolers we have tested on our current AMD Ryzen 9 9950X test system. Noise output is noticeable at maximum fan speed, measured at 52dBA, which may be distracting for some users. However, tuning the fan curve to suit your acoustic preferences does not adversely affect thermal performance, as demonstrated in our 40dBA test.

AMD PBO performance is solid too. The Combat 360 HUD delivers boost clock speeds comparable to some of the top-performing coolers we have tested previously, which is all good news for Levelplay. Build quality is among the top tier, and the RGB lighting effects on the fans are impressive. There is no significant light bleed from the LEDs; the opaque fan blades diffuse the lighting well.

The negatives are relatively minor, including the fact that there's no customisation of the LCD screen, which for some users might actually be a positive, as there’s no overly bloated software to install and run. However, for those who like to have complete control over the information displayed on their AIO screen, it may not be ideal. The only other drawback worth mentioning is that the cooler is currently only available in a 360mm format, while there's also no pre-applied thermal compound if that matters to you.

The fans do come pre-installed on the radiator, which speeds up installation time. However, be aware that we found some of the factory-tightened fan screws to be slightly loose, so it’s worth checking them before installing the radiator into your system, as you don’t want any rattling caused by loose screws. Having three fans mounted within a single frame also helps when it comes to cable routing and management.

Taken as a whole, this is a solid 360mm AIO for the price. It delivers strong performance and can run reasonably quietly with some user effort put into fan curve tuning. The build quality feels premium, and because it doesn’t require any additional RGB or fan hubs to operate – it uses standard motherboard header connections – installation is quick and straightforward. If you’re in the market for a reasonably priced AIO with an LCD that requires minimal setup, the Combat Liquid 360 HUD could be an option worth considering.

The Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD is available to purchase now from Amazon UK priced at £99.99 HERE.

Pros:

  • Reasonable price.
  • Great cooling performance.
  • Easy installation / no bloat software.

Cons:

  • No screen customisation.
  • Currently only available in 360mm size.
  • No pre-applied thermal compound.

KitGuru says: There are plenty of budget AIO coolers with LCD screen these days, so choosing the right one isn't easy. The Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD may not be the cheapest, but it's a good choice as it has excellent thermal performance even at low noise and has a streamlined installation process with no additional clutter.
