Thermaltake Contac29 Cooler Review

I am confident when I say that the Thermaltake Contac29 is possibly the best value cooler on the market right now. If you have been following the review from the first page I am pretty confident you will agree.

When we weigh in the performance both at reference and overclocked, overvolted speeds it delivers class leading results … for the money.

Thermaltake have ticked many boxes which is always good to see, they haven't skimped on the included extras; kits for both Intel and AMD processors, rubber anti vibration mounts for an additional fan and even a little tube of high quality thermal paste.

Another point worth mentioning is the build quality, which I can safely say is fantastic. The fan is high quality and doesn't generate a lot of noise, the heatpipes are well constructed and connect well with the core and the fin design. It's as good as we have seen in a cooler under £40.

When you consider the asking price in the UK of only £20 it is hard to find fault, and we literally couldn't. Unless you are attempting overclocking records on air, then this cooler will handle a wide variety of demands on both platforms.

KitGuru says: Great cooling can cost a substantial amount of money, but it does not need to be that way. The Thermaltake Contac29 nails any requirement you might have for a budget cooler – easy to fit, quiet in operation with impressive cooling performance. Well thought out from start to finish.
