AMD unveils Ryzen 7000 Embedded processors with up to 12 Zen 4 cores

AMD introduced the new AMD Ryzen Embedded 7000 series, a new family of CPUs designed to meet the high-performance demands of various industrial sectors. AMD has integrated the Zen 4 architecture with RDNA 2 integrated graphics to offer capabilities and performance previously unavailable in the embedded market.

One of the most notable features of the Ryzen embedded CPUs is their long manufacturing availability, which AMD claims to be seven years. The new embedded CPUs are based on the 5nm process node and come with AMD Radeon RDNA 2 graphics (1 WGP running up to 2.2GHz), eliminating the need for a separate GPU. To support the additional operating system software required for embedded applications, Ryzen Embedded 7000 series CPUs feature compatibility with Windows Server and Linux Ubuntu, in addition to Windows 10 and 11.

These processors are based on the AM5 platform and feature up to 12 Zen 4 cores, up to 28 PCIe 5.0 lanes, and a maximum TDP of 105W. Moreover, they support ECC DDR5 memory running at speeds up to 5200 MT/s.
