First Intel Core i9-13900KS CPU-Z benchmark shows impressive single-core performance

Soon after announcing the initial line-up of 13th Gen Core chips, Intel introduced an even more powerful CPU. Coming in early 2023, the Core i9-13900KS will be the world's first 6GHz processor. Intel didn't share much more than that, but the first CPU-Z benchmarks have just emerged on Chinese social media, giving us the first glimpse at its performance.

A screenshot showing the CPU-Z scores of the Intel Core i9-13900KS shared by HXL shows the upcoming CPU scoring 982.5 points in the single-core benchmark. The KS model scores 40 points higher than the standard 13900K, which likely comes down to the additional 200MHz boost speed, allowing the KS model to hit 6GHz.

In the multi-core test, the upcoming Core i9 Special Edition CPU scores 18,453 points, a 9.3 percent increase over the Core i9-13900K running without power limits.

The new Core i9 chip looks like a reaction to the upcoming Ryzen 7000X3D chips, which are also expected to be introduced in early 2023.
