Intel Core i9-13900K processor packaging leaks ahead of release

The box for the upcoming Intel Core i9-13900K has just leaked. Overall, the packaging is much smaller compared to the previous generation, but it still retains some design choices that made the latter appealing, including the plastic wafer inside.

The screenshot obtained from WeChat showing the 13th Gen Core i9 package was shared by @9550pro.  In this image, we see it has about half the size of the packaging used on the Core i9-12900K, meaning the company can send out larger shipments of processors. Despite being smaller, the case still includes the plastic wafer inside. However, instead of being gold, it's now silver-coloured.

Intel has been selling its Core i9 chips in premium-looking boxes since the Core i9-9900K, the first Core i9 CPU.

Intel plans to reveal the 13th Gen Core desktop processors this week, followed by availability in October. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.
