Motherboard maker shares Intel 14th Gen Core specs and performance metrics

MSI has accidentally broken the embargo on the 14th Gen Core series. The company has posted a video on YouTube (now private), leaking numerous details and comments about the Raptor Lake-S Refresh chips.

The video wasn't only focused on the upcoming CPUs, according to VideoCardz. They also showcased MSI's current Intel 700 motherboard series and upcoming PC cases. While most of the video concentrates on upgrades to these motherboards, there is a slide that briefly describes Intel's next-generation Core series.

This slide confirms that there will be no significant core count increases in Intel's 14th Generation Core series. Only one of the future K-series CPUs will have a bump in the core count compared to its predecessor, and that's the Core i7-14700K. The number of P-cores will remain at eight, but it will bump the E-core count from eight to twelve. MSI's presentation also confirms that the Core i9-14900K will employ the same 8P+16E configuration. This also applies to the Core i5-14600K with the 6P+8E configuration.

Intel is expected to announce its 14th-gen Core processors at Intel Innovation in September.
