Nvidia Game Ready driver launched for The Witcher 3

CD Projekt Red's latest masterpiece, The Witcher 3, finally launches at midnight here in the UK. If you are playing it on the PC, then now is a good time to update your GPU drivers, Nvidia has gone ahead and prepared a ‘Game Ready' driver for The Witcher 3.

This will optimize GeForce graphics cards for the GameWorks suite of graphical enhancements, including HairWorks, which like TressFX from AMD, brings realistic hair to the game. You can see the various enhancements at work in a video below: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md4Hmgtl8q0′]

The new driver will also add in an SLI profile so those of you using multiple graphics cards in your machines can make the most of it. AMD users can apparently expect a new driver some time this week.

Chances are if you are an Nvidia user, you have the GeForce Experience tool, so you can download and install the driver through that. You can also find the drivers directly, HERE.

Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: If you are an Nvidia user, then you should probably update your drivers if you are planning to play The Witcher 3 when it launches this evening. Are any of you looking forward to The Witcher 3?

Can someone explain to me why the hell the last year’s monster 780 perform like a 960 on witcher, when clearly it is stronger card?
This gameworks is a cancer for even nvidia owners as it seems…

  2. last year? Not really 😉

well not really last year but technically 780 is stronger than 960.

  5. Plus Titan-Z and Titan Black were released on February and March of 2014, so Kepler is technically last year.

  6. Witcher 3 is very very demanding game overall and especially if you want to play on Uber settings with all extras turned on. My Titan X at 1080p gets 60 to 80 FPS. I seen gameplays where GTX 780 on Uber settings gets 35FPS at 1080p so on medium high you can get stable 55FPS.

  7. so? 780 and Titan used the same architecture, not more, they are different Chips and Cards, that doesn’t make the 780 a Card from the last year

  8. Different chips? Wtf lol. Is exactly the same GK110 used on their products, I love the nvidiots apologist excuses to justify nvidia’s behavior of discontinuing support of their GPUs after a year and being milked with rehashes again and again lol.

  9. …he said to a guy using a AMD GPU 😉

  10. Now, in English.

  11. ok, now again for you: …you said that to a guy (me) who is using a 7870 and doesn’t care about the red vs green noobwar
