Rumor has it that a new Metal Gear Online will be revealed next week at the Video Games Awards Show. According to the show’s producer and presenter, Geoff Keighley, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima will star at the show set for next Friday on the 5th of September.
This isn’t the first hint we’ve had about a potential game reveal set for the awards show next week, Keighley has also been meeting with Bethesda, sparking rumors of a potential Fallout 4 announcement, which would follow the same pre-release schedule as Skyrim. Metal Gear Online started out as a part of Metal Gear Solid 3, before becoming a complete experience in Metal Gear Solid 4.
The original Metal Gear Online shut down in June 2012. Earlier this year during an interview with CVG, Kojima did say that Metal Gear Online was in development at the Kojima Productions LA studio, in partnership with the main Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain development studio in Japan.

KitGuru Says: This is all speculation for the time being but it seems likely that Metal Gear Online will be making a return in MGS V, which releases some time next year for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. Are any of you guys looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V? Are you glad that the online mode will be returning?
