A Way Out gets a new trailer, release date and ‘Friends Pass’

It looks like previous rumors that ‘A Way Out' would be delayed until 2019 were incorrect. Last night at The Game Awards, director Josef Fares, took to the stage to not ramble about his love for the gaming industry, but to also show off new footage for A Way Out and announce the release date. The game even comes with a ‘friends pass' so you only need to buy one copy of the game to play with a friend.

The co-op focused prison break adventure will be arriving on the 23rd of March 2018. The entire game is co-op based, with the game designed around two friends playing. According to Fares, the game is best played with someone you know.

Since the game is so focused on co-op, a “friends pass” is being introduced. This means players who own the game can play with a friend that does not. While the game is best enjoyed as a ‘couch co-op' experience, players can join up together online instead, with the friends pass being a nice added bonus.

KitGuru Says: If you haven't seen the clips from Fares' speech at The Game Awards last night, then I highly recommend checking them out.
