Ark: Survival Ascended pushed to October with lower launch price

Earlier this year, Studio Wildcard announced plans to launch a paid Unreal Engine 5 remaster for Ark Survival Evolved, known as Ark: Survival Ascended. Initially announced as a free upgrade, the paid remaster has been delayed and the game is already getting discounted.

Ark: Survival Ascended is now scheduled to release in October instead of August. The two-month delay announcement also comes with the reveal that the game will now launch at a discounted price, bringing the cost down from $60 to $40. Sometime after launch, the price will go up to $45.

Ark: Survival Ascended has proven to be controversial amongst fans of the original game. Aside from the added cost for those who already purchased the original game, players have been disgruntled with the fact that Ark: Survival Evolved's official servers will be going offline once the remaster launches. Players will still be able to host and join custom, community-hosted servers.

After Ark: Survival Ascended releases, Studio Wildcard will be focusing on getting Ark 2 ready for launch in 2024.
