Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and expansions will be announced after launch

CD Projekt Red has previously said that it will reveal its Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch content plans before the game comes out. Since then though, the game has been delayed twice, so CD Projekt Red will be staying quiet on DLC until the game releases.

Speaking with investors during an earnings call, CD Projekt Red CEO, Adam Kiciński, answered a question regarding post-launch content plans for Cyberpunk 2077: “The initial plan was to do before release, but after the recent delay, we decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects”.

That means we'll be hearing about Cyberpunk 2077's free DLCs, paid expansions and eventual multiplayer spin-off in 2021, rather than having it be part of the pre-launch marketing cycle.

At this point, Cyberpunk 2077 is due to release on the 10th of December for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.

KitGuru Says: We are less  than two weeks away from the release of Cyberpunk 2077. DLC plans can wait, after all, the base game is shaping up to be huge enough on its own. Do you guys prefer hearing about post-launch content ahead of release? Or would you prefer it if developers announced those plans after launch?
