Diablo Immortal had the ‘biggest launch in franchise history’

Over the last week since Diablo Immortal's launch, much of the game's positives have been overshadowed by criticism of the game's microtransaction and loot systems. Blizzard is remaining silent on these issues and appears to be refusing to address any of the concerns players have. 

One week on from launch, Diablo Immortal has been installed over 10 million times across iOS, Android and PC, making it the biggest launch in the history of the Diablo franchise:

This tweet arrives one week on from the launch of the game. While many do enjoy the campaign and gameplay in Diablo Immortal, the game's loot system has hidden caps in place that aim to push players towards spending money, and obtaining any gems with a 3-star or higher rating requires paying for microtransactions.

So while Diablo Immortal might be the biggest launch in the series' history, many fans aren't on board with celebrating that. Many of the replies to Blizzard's milestone tweet include references to the microtransaction controversy, something that Blizzard continues to stay silent on.

KitGuru Says: With the drop rates for high-end gear being so low, the easiest way to earn back some good will with the community would be to include a bigger number of legendary crests for free players. Perhaps give free players a legendary crest for logging in for a certain number of days in a row, and add a few more into the tracks on the battle pass.
