Dragon Age: Dreadwolf to finally launch this year

We've heard a lot about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf's development over the years but so far, EA and BioWare have remained quiet on giving any official details about the game, including its planned release date, despite being announced years ago. It looks like 2024 might finally be the year though.

According to Jeff Grubb, who has reported on Dreadwolf's development a number of times in the past, BioWare is planning a full reveal for the game this summer, followed by a ‘late 2024' release date. The exact date is still unknown but this will put it in the Q4 period, launching alongside other major titles like the next Call of Duty and Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed game.

EA will no doubt make this its big single-player game for the year, with a big reveal at an EA event in June or July, followed by previews and reviews leading up to the launch.

BioWare has been working on the next Dragon Age game for many years and the project has undergone changes along the way, including a swap of directors/writers, and a complete overhaul that did away with multiplayer elements.

KitGuru Says: It sounds like Dragon Age fans will have plenty to look forward to this year. After that, BioWare can start pushing more resources towards the next Mass Effect game, which may include the return of Commander Sheppard and other characters from the original trilogy.
