Final Fantasy 16, Dead Rising Deluxe and Frostpunk 2 join GeForce Now

This week's GeForce Now update has arrived, with a couple of the biggest PC releases of the year getting swift support, including the likes of Frost Punk 2 and Final Fantasy XVI.

The headlining game in this week's update is none other than Final Fantasy 16, which launched on PC earlier this week. The game is already playable via GeForce Now, and I've already had the opportunity to sink some hours into it on my Steam Deck. Using GeForce Now over WiFi on the Steam Deck OLED, the game runs flawlessly and looks far better than trying to run the game natively on the handheld.

Here is the full list of games joining GeForce Now this week:

  • Frostpunk 2 (New release on Steam and Xbox available on PC Game Pass, Sept. 20)
  • FINAL FANTASY XVI (New release on Steam and Epic Games Store, Sept. 17)
  • The Plucky Squire (New release on Steam, Sept. 17)
  • Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (New release on Steam, Sept. 18)
  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven (Demo releases on Steam, Sept. 18)
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak (Steam)
  • REKA (Steam)

Frostpunk 2 is another big release this week. The original survival-strategy game received rave reviews from fans and now, the sequel has landed. If you have a PC Game Pass subscription, you'll be able to access the game via GeForce Now without having to purchase it on a platform like Steam.
