Frontier-published shooter Lemnis Gate is shutting down

Lemnis Gate looked promising when it first burst onto the scene in 2021 but unfortunately, the game never quite found its footing. Now, Frontier and Ratloop Games have announced plans to shut down the game for good.

On the 11th of April, Lemnis Gate will be pulled from sale and then on the 11th of July, all servers will go offline. On console, the game's local multiplayer and training modes will still be accessible, but there is no local multiplayer mode on the PC version, so it will essentially become defunct.

It is worth noting that this update announcing the game's closure is the first update on the game's Steam community page since December 2021. With so little announcements in 2022, it is no wonder that the player count continued to dwindle and interest in the game began to wane.

Lemnis Gate was developed by Ratloop Games and published by Frontier's publishing label, Frontier Foundry. It was the first game signed under Frontier's publishing label.

KitGuru Says: I remember being quite interested in Lemnis Gate at first, but the game swiftly dropped out of online gaming discussions. Looking at the lack of community updates on Steam, it is pretty easy to see why.
