Monster Hunter Rise will release on PC in ‘early 2022’

Following on from rave reviews earlier this week, Monster Hunter Rise is officially launching on the Nintendo Switch today. While the game is exclusive for now, the game will eventually come to PC, with Capcom currently targeting an ‘early 2022' launch.

Monster Hunter Rise producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, previously revealed that the game would come to PC next year. Now as part of Capcom's launch day announcements, the publisher has narrowed down the release window to ‘early 2022'.

For those getting into the game during its first year on Nintendo Switch, you have quite a lot to look forward to. The launch is just the beginning, as like Monster Hunter World, Capcom will be shipping regular free content updates with new monsters, battles and challenges to take on.

The first of these post-launch updates is coming in April, which will bring the Apex Rathalos and Chameleos to the game, alongside a few other unannounced monsters. Then, Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 will follow over the Summer.

KitGuru Says: Monster Hunter Rise is shaping up to be one of the best games available on the Nintendo Switch. However, I am looking forward to the PC version more with its graphical enhancements. Are any of you planning on picking this game up on Switch today? Or are you going to hold out for the PC release next year?
