No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 launch delayed

We are just two months removed from the announcement that No Rest for the Wicked would reach V1.0 this year and end its period of early access development. Since then, plans have changed, with the game being delayed another six months.

Despite only just announcing an October launch date in June, Moon Studios has since decided that it needs more time to finish up its new Action RPG. As a result, No Rest for the Wicked will now be launching in March 2027.

In its announcement post, Moon Studios said: “The honest truth is that we're a small team, and we're holding our games to a standard we won't compromise on. We're close, but close isn't good enough for our full 1.0 launch. The extra time will help us improve performance, tighten the class system, and polish the whole game to the standard you all deserve. We'd rather take a few more months than ship something that we know isn’t quite perfect yet.”

Fans won't have to wait until 2027 to get a preview of what's to come though. There will be a big open beta test happening in December, giving anyone interested a chance to try the game out. This delay also means that people have a few more months to pre-order and still obtain Founders pack rewards.

KitGuru Says: I've been waiting on this one to leave early access for a long time now. A few extra months won't hurt, although it is always disappointing to see games delayed within weeks of their release date announcement.
