Rainbow Six Siege will run at up to 120 frames per second on next-gen consoles

Last night during Ubisoft Forward, Rainbow Six Siege had a small update, with the publisher announcing that the game will be getting a free upgrade for those upgrading to next-gen consoles. This upgrade won’t just bring a graphical boost, but it will also bring a big frame rate boost too.

Rainbow Six Siege will be available on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 this year, with both versions capable of running the game at up to 120 frames per second:

There isn’t a specific date for when this upgrade patch will be available, but anyone who already owns Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to play on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 at launch via backwards compatibility. An upgrade patch will then arrive to unlock the full potential of new console hardware.

Rainbow Six Siege has a big few months ahead, as the latest season, Operation Shadow Legacy, kicks off this week.

KitGuru Says: It is good to see Ubisoft bringing Rainbow Six Siege forward into the next generation. The game is still running perfectly strong and isn’t necessarily in need of a sequel just yet.
