Rockstar leak reveals unfinished GTA V single-player DLCs

Recently, a bunch of Rockstar files leaked, including the source code for Grand Theft Auto V, just weeks on from the announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI. Dataminers have been combing through the code, finding references to the single-player DLCs we never got.

Since Grand Theft Auto 5's launch, there have been persistent rumours of scrapped DLC plans for the game's single-player mode. As it turns out, Rockstar had plans for as many as eight single-player DLCs. A few of these DLCs were ‘packs', which may have been smaller in scope. However, three of them sound particularly interesting – Agent Trevor, a Prologue DLC and a LibertyV DLC. That last one hints at a return to Liberty City for another adventure, rebuilt in the GTA V engine.

The Prologue DLC may have fleshed out the very beginning of the game, showing the events leading up to the heist gone wrong in GTA V's opening.

As pointed out by Insider Gaming, Rockstar confirmed that its primary focus would be on GTA Online back in 2017. However, rumours claim that single-player DLC plans were initially impacted by the departure of Leslie Benzies back in 2014.

KitGuru Says: GTA V's single-player campaign was fantastic but I think we were all left wanting more over the years. Nobody can deny that Rockstar's focus on GTA Online has paid off though.
