Rust: Console Edition coming ‘Spring 2021’

Just last week, Double Eleven broke its silence on Rust: Console Edition, revealing a new teaser and announcing a closed beta test. Now, the studio has narrowed down the release window for Rust on Xbox One and PS4.

Rust: Console Edition was first announced in late 2019 during XO19. The game was initially due to come to Xbox One in 2020 before being delayed. Now, the game will be coming out in ‘Spring 2021' to both Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

Ahead of its eventual release, closed beta tests will be held for Rust: Console Edition. These betas require a sign-up and an invite, so if you want to try the game out ahead of time, you can find all of the details HERE.

Currently, there is no word on enhanced versions of Rust: Console Edition for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. However, the game will run on next-gen consoles via backwards compatibility.

KitGuru Says: Rust has been around on PC for so long that it is easy to forget that there are plenty of people who haven't had the chance to play it yet. Are any of you thinking about picking up Rust again on a console?
