Star Wars Squadrons is getting two content updates this year

While EA Motive wasn't planning DLC for Star Wars: Squadrons, the game's popularity has resulted in a change of plans. Before the end of 2020, Squadrons will be getting two major content updates.

The first major update is coming on the 25th of November and will include a new multiplayer map and new ship enhancements. Then in December, two new Starfighters will be added to the game.

The new map coming is Fostar Haven, based on the location from the single-player campaign. Then in terms of new ship components, there is a Boost Extension Kit for Fighters and Bombers, and Ion Rockets for Interceptors and Fighters. There will also be Prototype Piercing Torpedoes and Anti-Material Rocket Turrets.

December's update focuses primarily on introducing two new ships to the game – the B-Wing and TIE Defenders, bringing one new starfighter for the Republic side and the Empire side.

There is no word on whether more updates will come in 2021, but for now, Squadrons is set to end off 2020 in a strong position.
