Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV now releasing in December

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV now has an official release date. KING Art Games has confirmed that the game will launch on the 3rd of December, with Commander Edition players gaining early access from the 30th of November.

KING Art Games says the team is taking a little more time to refine the experience ahead of launch, focusing on performance optimisation, bug fixing, gameplay polish and incorporating feedback from recent community playtests. Development continues at full pace, with more gameplay showcases and developer deep‑dives planned in the months leading up to release.

“As we approached the final stages of development, we saw an opportunity to further enhance Dawn of War IV and deliver the quality of experience we’ve always envisioned,” said Jan Theysen, Creative Director at KING Art Games. “The additional time will allow us to continue optimising performance, resolving bugs and applying further polish.”

Alongside the release date announcement, the studio has published an updated Year One roadmap. Players can expect free updates including the return of Crusade Mode, new maps, modes, Commanders and the Mission Editor, as well as two major story expansions that will deepen the conflict on Kronus and introduce a new playable faction.

Dawn of War IV promises a large‑scale sci‑fi RTS experience set within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, with four playable factions, non‑linear campaigns, multiplayer battles and returning fan‑favourite modes like Last Stand and Skirmish.
