Warhorse Studios trademark hints at Kingdom Come multiplayer game

A couple of months ago, Warhorse Studios announced that it is working on two new projects – a new Kingdom Come game, and a Lord of the Rings title. Now, we know a little bit more about the next Kingdom Come project, set to be called Kingdom Come Salvation.

As spotted by VGC, Warhorse Studios has filed for a new trademark with the EU Intellectual Property Office, listing a new game called Kingdom Come Salvation, along with an image of the logo, which uses the same font style as the previous Kingdom Come games.

The trademark filing confirms that this is a game, filed under “Computer gaming software”, however, there is also a potential hint at multiplayer, with the trademark also listing “entertainment services for matching users”. Warhorse Studios had already hinted that this new game would not be Kingdom Come Deliverance 3, so a spin-off would be a good place to try out a multiplayer component.

To strengthen the multiplayer argument, the previous trademarks for the Kingdom Come Deliverance games did not list “entertainment services for matching users”, which is essentially just a long-winded legalese way of describing a matchmaking system.

KitGuru Says: I could see this potentially being a Chivalry rival, but we'll have to wait and see.
