You can grab Shadow Warrior (2013) on Steam for free if you act fast (now over)

Update: This game is no longer being given away for free. It is still on sale for 80 percent off on Steam though, bringing the price down to around £5.

If you never had the chance to check out 2013’s Shadow Warrior, then you may want to correct that this week as the game is being given away for free right now on Steam. You have until 6PM UK time to add it to your game library and keep forever. The sequel, Shadow Warrior 2 is also 50 percent off in case you fancy going all-in and owning both games.

This is the second time in the last few months that Shadow Warrior (2013) has been given away for free, so clearly, the developers really want you to play it. Previously, you could grab it from the Humble Store but now with the game free on Steam, owning it is as simple as heading to the store page and hitting the ‘install button’. From there, it will be yours forever. You just have to make sure you nab it before 6PM (UK Time) on the 23rd of August (today).

If you’ve never played Shadow Warrior, then the trailer above should give you a good idea of what its all about. The combat system is fun, people tend to enjoy the humour and right now, its free, so you don’t have much to lose.

KitGuru Says: Shadow Warrior (2013) has been one of my favourite games over the last few years. The sequel didn’t end up being quite as good but the original still stands on its own as an excellent PC game.
