“Story-wise, Suicide Squad is easily our biggest game” claims Rocksteady

After creating the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham Trilogy, Rocksteady’s next title was announced to be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While conceptually a cool idea, the switch to a more live-service styled approach has led fans to worry that the game’s story will suffer as a result. According to Rocksteady, this will very much not be the case.

In an interview conducted by PLAY magazine (and reported by GamesRadar+), the product director for Suicide Squad – Darius Sadeghian – eased fans regarding their concerns for the upcoming title’s story, saying:

“It's still full of the DNA that infuses the Batman: Arkham series – those foundations of story and character are absolutely central to our process. Story-wise, this is easily our biggest game.”

It is interesting to see Sadeghian use the word ‘biggest’ when referring to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as a big story does not necessarily equate to a great one. Still, it is good to know at least that Rocksteady is aware of fan expectations when it comes to their games.

Hopefully the team manages to maintain their unbroken streak of excellent DC games. We will have to wait and see.
