Since the official unveiling of The Nintendo Switch 2 a couple months ago, fans have been eagerly awaiting the full blowout event scheduled for early April. Ahead of this Direct, one insider has revealed Nintendo’s 3-phase strategy for game releases – starting with first-party titles.
As reported by known industry leakers Insider-Gaming, during the recent Game Developers Conference sources spoke to the publication to reveal Nintendo’s “three-phase strategy” when it comes to their game release plans.
According to the publication, the first stage is set for around the Switch 2’s launch (rumoured to be in June) and will focus on first-party launch titles.
Phase two meanwhile will arrive in October/November, this time with an emphasis on 3rd-party titles. Finally, the 3rd phase is planned for the Holiday period – though no further details were shared.
As mentioned, the official Switch 2 Direct is set to go live in just a week’s time on the 2nd of April, and so we will likely hear more from Nintendo’s post-release plans then.
