The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope launches on Halloween eve

The Dark Pictures Anthology is Supermassive Games’ latest series of titles which will see players take on all sorts of horror genres and locales. So far, only one game has been released – Man of Medan – though finally fans of the narrative-driven choice-based horror series now know when they can get their hands on the next game. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope has been announced to be releasing on the 30th of October 2020.

The Dark Pictures Anthology was announced to be an 8-part series of video games, each of which will tackle different aspects and locations within the horror genre. Man of Medan, which was released in August 2019, was the first entry in this series. Upon completion of the game, a teaser trailer for the next entry (Little Hope) was unlocked..

Little Hope was originally slated to release sometime during Summer 2020. Unfortunately, due to the effects of COVID-19, the game was delayed. Now, we finally know when to expect the game’s launch – and it’s suitably fitting.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will now be releasing on the 30th of October 2020, just one day before Halloween. Alongside the release date announcement was a new story trailer, which can be viewed HERE. Furthermore, over 10 minutes of gameplay footage has been released, giving fans the opportunity to understand and absorb the atmosphere of the game prior to its launch.

Though Man of Medan received mixed reviews, the concept of an anthology of horror games certainly shows promise, and so it’ll be interesting to see whether Little Hope manages to outdo its predecessor.
