The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe’s release date finally announced

The Stanley Parable was an innovative and trope-breaking game which undoubtedly influenced many future titles. Originally only released for PC, an enhanced remake/reimagining was announced in the form of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. After literal years of delays, the game is finally releasing next month.

Making the announcement on their website, the developers said “Welcome to the official Stanley Parable website! After over 3 years of development we’ve finally completed work on The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe!”

This enhanced re-imagining is said to “dramatically expand the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets for you to uncover.”

Originally announced in 2018 with a 2019 release date, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe was continually pushed back, with the most recent details claiming a Spring 2022 release window. After many delays The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe is launching on the 27th of April 2022.

This isn’t the first that we have heard of this date. Last week, we reported that the backend of the PlayStation Network Servers had added The Stanley Parable into its database, suggesting an impending release.

While no release dates were revealed within this data, many fans began to speculate that the game would launch on the 27th of April as 427 is Stanley’s office number in the original game. It is nice to see the developers play into this – already beginning the metanarrative which will undoubtedly unfold within the game. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is coming to the PC, PS4/5, Xbox One/Series and Nintendo Switch.
