Blizzard join Valve with Windows 8 ‘not awesome’ claim

We don't like Microsoft 8, and since I published my last article, I have spend some time with Ubuntu – on my road to leaving Microsoft behind. It is going to take me some time to get to grips with Linux, but I really have had my fill of Microsoft and their sloppy work.

Gabe Newell hit the news recently when he said that Windows 8 was a catastrophe for the PC space and another high profile executive has shared his views. Blizzard's Rob Prado made a statement on Twitter a short while ago and he said “nice interview with Gabe Newell – “I think Windows 8 is a catastrophe for everyone in the PC space* – not awesome for Blizzard either”

Prado is the Executive Vice President of Game Design for Blizzard. He was a designer for Diablo III and a lead designer for World Of Warcraft and the first two expansions. Like Gabe, he is a man with a lot of sway in the gaming industry.

Kitguru says: The big question is, how many other important people in the industry feel that Windows 8 is sub standard but are afraid to speak out? We reckon it is a fairly high percentage.

uwgamespecialist.nl is STILL scamming customers

Regular readers will likely recall the stories we published earlier this year, based around a raft of emails we received from unhappy customers who purchased RTX 5090 cards from Dutch etailer uwgamespecialist. Unfortunately these issues appear to be still ongoing based on communications we have received from various readers in the last few weeks. Time for quick recap, for the record.

  1. A catastrophe like your Diablo 3 release Blizz? Of all the people to criticize, lol.
