Apple may launch their own game controller

It looks as if Apple may be working on bringing out their own game controller for their devices. This would mean they are going to challenge their partners who already have a raft of controllers available to the public for iOS devices.

Sources spoke with PocketGamer and they said that Apple are already testing at GDC. No one has yet seen the device, but the anonymous developers who were with Apple at the event said they were seeking day one support for the device.

Apple so far have focused completely on touch support for games on iOS devices. They have stood up and took notice however as Samsung have released their Galaxy S4 game pad.

PocketGamer's sources say that Apple were at GDC under a false name to keep their identity secret and they didn't bring any hardware along either because of all the leaks.

The sources claim that Apple may be releasing the controller beside the iPad 5 in April.

Kitguru says: An official game controller for iOS? probably will sell like hot cakes with the Apple badge on it.
