iPhone 5 rumored to ship later this year

Those people who have just bought a new shiny white iPhone 4 will be miserable to hear that rumors are rife in the Far East that Apple will release the iPhone 5 in September. Digitimes have also heard that Pegatron Technology have received orders for 15 million iPhone 5 devices from Apple.

“The sources pointed out that as the iPhone 5, which does not seem to have any major update from iPhone 4, is already set for shipment in September, they are already started supplying components to Pegatron with Pegatron's plants in Shanghai, China also recently started hiring for manpower.”

Our own sources in Taipei haven't confirmed any dates, as Apple will be keeping that close to their chest, but the Pegatron order has apparently been placed in recent weeks, indicating a move to retail sooner rather than later.
