The Nintendo Switch 2 will reportedly release in June

While Nintendo has not yet announced a release date for the Switch 2 console, a new leak indicates that we'll be getting that news very soon, as pre-orders are due to go live in April.

Insider Gaming received documentation from a ‘large US retailer', revealing the launch strategy for the Nintendo Switch 2. If this leak is accurate, Nintendo will open up pre-orders for the Switch 2 on April 9th, one week after the next Switch 2 Nintendo Direct stream, which takes place on April 2nd.

The pre-orders would be two months ahead of a June launch date for the new console. Unfortunately, it is also reported that this retailer is expecting to run out of pre-order stock on day-one. That could mean that Nintendo is still reserving a lot of stock for its direct-to-consumer store.

Nintendo will officially announce new details about the Switch 2 on the 2nd of April. So far, no leaks have discussed the Switch 2 launch line-up of games, so hopefully Nintendo will have some news on that front during the next Direct too.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
