MSI shows off new Mini-ITX mobo and GPU

MSI has released some teaser images for its upcoming miniature gaming hardware, including a new motherboard and a small form factor GPU, both designed to fit into half size cases, whilst still giving you enough oomf for all the latest games.

“We’re very close to expanding our #GAMING family with two new members, a Mini-ITX GAMING Motherboard & Graphics Card,” reads the MSI tweet.

I'm somewhat surprised it didn't take the chance to call the range, MSITX.

The space saving design of the motherboard gives it a pretty unique look, though it does also cut back on features. There's only a single PCIe expansion slot, as well as only two slots for RAM. However there's still a lot of USB ports (rear and front panel) and a built in TV tuner.

On top of that, there's some neat motherboard organisation in the way the BIOS battery has been side mounted and both CPU and system fan connectors have been paired together.

KitGuru Says: Some pretty hardware and some clever space saving. Any of you planning LGA1156 mini builds soon?
