Forza Horizon 5 tops PlayStation charts across multiple countries

Following rumours last year, Microsoft announced that their seminal Xbox Series X|S title ‘Forza Horizon 5’ will be coming to PlayStation 5 this Spring. With pre-orders going live ahead of its 29th of April launch, the game has quickly climbed to the top of the PlayStation charts across multiple different countries.

In going to the pre-orders page on the PlayStation Store, it can be seen that the first-party Xbox title Forza Horizon 5 has managed to top the best-sellers list in over half a dozen regions including the UK; Germany; France; Mexico; Brazil and Canada (peaking at 3rd place on the US store).

Given the fact that the game is also being offered in 3 different editions, the total placement for the game when all 3 SKUs are combined could be even greater.

Of course, it’s not entirely clear exactly how PlayStation’s best-sellers list is determined, but it’s safe to say that there’s a great deal of interest in Forza Horizon 5 coming to PlayStation.

It will be interesting to see whether Microsoft will report sales figures for the first time in years following its release.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
