Even more Resident Evil games have been rated by the ESRB

At the start of the year, we first saw evidence that Capcom could be working on a bunch of ports for its Resident Evil titles, bringing them up to modern standards with current-gen remasters. Since then, further proof has surfaced, with a new ESRB rating now suggesting that Resident Evil Revelations could get an Xbox Series re-release.

As discovered by ResetEra user Bishop89, the Entertainment Software Ratings Board has published a new listing for an Xbox Series version of Resident Evil Revelations.

This follows on from two previous listings by the board, which suggested that RE6; the RE: Origins Collection; RE4; RE7 and RE5 could all be coming to modern consoles.

All of these games are of course playable on both the Xbox Series X|S and PS5, however – aside from RE7 – the games are all backwards compatible versions of their 8th-gen releases; and so it would perhaps be nice to have full 4K60fps upgrades for these titles.

All that said, it is interesting to see over half a dozen Resident Evil titles being rated one after the other – all without any official announcements.

It seems as though when we do finally get official confirmation, it could come as part of a massive Resident Evil blowout event. We will have to wait and see.
