Samsung reportedly working on a high-end Nexus tablet

There are about a thousand rumours surrounding various Nexus devices on hand at present and now it's a thousand and one. According to information given to CNET by industry analyst Richard Shim Samsung and Google are working together to produce a high-end, 10.1 inch Nexus tablet.

The device's display is said to feature a whopping 2560×1600 resolution, equating to a pixel density of 299 PPI. This is just lower than the Galaxy S III's 306 PPI but noticeably denser than Apple's third generation retina display iPad which has a density of 264 PPI.

No insight was given on when such a device will make a debut but one would have to guess a possible Samsung's Nexus tablet would be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show or Mobile World Congress events in the first quarter of 2013.

KitGuru says: No matter how attractive this Android tablet sounds now, it's hard to forget that Windows tablets are just around the corner – albeit without impressively dense displays.
