DeepCool upgrades its excellent Assassin IV CPU cooler with Vapor Chamber technology

The DeepCool Assassin series of CPU coolers has impressed us plenty of times in the past. As we head into 2025, DeepCool has a new and improved Assassin cooler ready to hit the market – the Assassin IV VC Vision.

The VC in the name here stands for Vapor Chamber. With the Assassin IV VC Vision, DeepCool has added a vapour chamber to the base of the cooler, allowing for even faster heat dissipation and making this air cooler more capable for handling high TDP CPUs. This new cooler is rated to handle up to 300W TDP processors, making it ideal for all builds, including those using high-end CPUs. The Vapour Chamber base is connected to seven heatpipes that run up through the heatsink to swiftly transfer heat away from the processor.

Another standout feature of the Assassin IV VC Vision is the quad-segmented digital display, providing real-time monitoring of CPU temperature, usage, wattage, and frequency. The magnetized panel allows for easy installation and adjustments. Users can control the display using the DeepCreative software.

A color-coded thermometer will also give you quick feedback on CPU temperatures. While your CPU is operating below 80C, the thermometer will be green. If your CPU creeps above the 80C mark, it will turn orange and finally, if you are pushing the CPU hard enough to cross the 90C mark, the thermometer will turn red.

Naturally, the heatsink and visual features are just part of the equation here. DeepCool has also implemented whisper-quiet, high-performance fans. The Assassin IV VC Vision ships with a 120mm fan at the front, and a 140mm fan in the middle. By using a 120mm fan on the front heatsink, users can maintain compatibility with taller memory sticks. These fans both feature Fluid Dynamic bearings to keep vibrations in check and thus reducing noise. The fans also operate at dynamic RPM ranges to further minimise noise, while ensuring strong airflow.

The DeepCool Assassin IV VC Vision is compatible with all modern CPU sockets, including AM4 and AM5, as well as Intel LGA1851/1700/1200/115x/20xx. The cooler will be available in Europe soon, backed by a six year warranty, priced at €139.99.

KitGuru Says: If you are a fan of air coolers, the DeepCool Assassin IV provides everything you could want from an aesthetics and feature standpoint.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
