Nintendo 3DS to get new joystick?

The Nintendo 3DS is getting a new joystick, according to reports in Japanese magazine Famitsu.

Engadget scanned in the image above which shows a cradle fitted to the Nintendo console, apparently adding a R2 button, as well as a starboard circle pad. This peripheral may have been added just for the Monster Hunter Tri G, an unannounced game that looks to be have been leaked in the same issue of the magazine.

Kitguru says: Nintendo have yet to confirm any of the details.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.

  1. If this is a legitimate add-on from Nintendo, then they are sacrificing the form factor and the size, weight and probably the battery life. On the other hand if there will b indeed a hardware revision, then this peripheral at least will help the early adopters not to be alienated by the revision, the way Dsi affected the early adopters of the Nintendo DS. First generation DS owners are able to play GBA games but no DSi Ware. I personally hope that this gadget is just for a specific game
