CDPR confirms another animated Cyberpunk show is happening

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners represents one of the best adaptations of a video game property, with the 2022 Netflix series heavily boosting sales of the game following its release. While it was previously confirmed that a Season 2 would not be happening, CDPR have now announced that another animated show set in Night City is currently in the works.

During the company’s most recent fiscal earnings reports (transcribed by VGC), the CFO of CD Projekt – Piotr Nielubowicz – announced a successor to the Netflix series Cyberpunk Edgerunners, saying:

“I’m also very happy to announce that we’re working on another animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will be released on Netflix.”

It is currently unknown whether the series will once again be animated by Studio Trigger, but given the success of the first adaptation, hopefully the two studios are working together once again.

We will have to wait and see, but regardless, more Cyberpunk adaptations are highly welcome.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
