STALKER 2 PC system requirements announced

At long last, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is releasing later this month. Just in time for the game's launch onto Steam and Game Pass, the detailed PC system requirements have been revealed.

The good news is, the game appears to be highly scalable. The minimum PC system requirements set a low barrier to entry, calling for a system with a Ryzen 5 1600X or Core i5-7600K processor, 8GB of RAM and an RX 580 or GTX 1060 graphics card. At one point, the GTX 1060 was the most popular graphics card amongst Steam users, so it makes sense that the developers targeted this GPU for the minimum PC requirements.

If you are looking to push higher graphics settings and frame rates, then you'll want to at least meet the recommended PC system requirements.

You can find the full system requirements below –

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i5-7600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • Storage: 150GB available space

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-9700K
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
  • Storage: 150GB available space

Even the recommended PC spec isn't too demanding, although we do expect the game to be demanding at the highest settings. There may end up being a more detailed PC spec announcement closer to launch with High and Ultra recommendations.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
