The cars from Cars are coming to Fortnite

It goes without saying that Fortnite remains one of the biggest games of all time when it comes to crossovers, with the popular Battle Royale seeing the likes of Spider-Man, Lara Croft, Peter Griffin, Naruto and Billie Eilish all duke it out on Fortnite Island. As part of the game’s furthering partnership with Disney, Lightning McQueen from Cars is said to be coming to the game.

As reported by known Fortnite leaker HYPEX and SamLeakss, Lightning McQueen and his buddy Mater from the 2006 Pixar classic Cars are set to join Fortnite’s roster.

While not explicitly stated, their inclusion will almost certainly be as functional vehicles which players can ride in, rather than having the cars stand vertically while shooting a gun.

Given the more harsh limitations placed on some Disney characters in Fortnite, it will be interesting to see whether Lightning and Mater will explode if shot at enough like the other vehicles. We will have to wait and see.

In other recent news, Epic officially announced that they will be revamping the way progression in the game works, the full story of which can be found HERE.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
