Valve brings further QoL features to Steam

Throughout 2024, Valve has been consistently upgrading its Steam platform with a ton of new and highly welcome quality of life improvements. Following the likes of the family share revamp, a new screen recorder and much more, a new ‘Trending Free’ tab has been added to the store.

As noted by ResetEra user ‘AStrangerIsHere’ the Steam Store has gotten a small yet highly-welcome update, adding a new tab called ‘Trending Free’.

This addition solves a recent issue caused by the implementation of game ‘prologues’ – demos in all-but-name. As they were not labelled as demos, these free prologues would appear in the popular ‘New and Trending’ tab – muddying the results.

This recent simple fix will not only help to further declutter the store front, but also lets players more easily discover the games they want – or don’t yet know they want.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this most recent addition? Is it a welcome one? Did you run into any issues with prologues when browsing the store? Let us know down below.
