The Fallout series has reached 100 million viewers

Amazon and Bethesda's Fallout TV series debuted earlier this year to wide critical acclaim. We already knew that the show was a huge hit, but now we have an actual viewership figure to pin to the series.

The Fallout TV series reached 100 million viewers since its premiere in April. This would make Fallout one of the most successful video game adaptations ever made, trading blows with the likes of HBO's The Last of Us.

Fallout Season 2 has already been confirmed, but it is currently unclear how far along the project is. At the end of the first season, it becomes clear that the plan for the next season is already in place, with a nice tease of New Vegas, which is a fan favourite location in the Fallout universe.

The success of the show has had a knock-on effect for the Fallout games. All of the titles received a bump in sales and player counts when the series aired. In particular, it led to a new wave of positivity for Fallout 76, finally putting Bethesda's multiplayer game back on the map.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
