Bethesda has announced plans to bring Starfield to PS5 in early April, but there is actually good news for fans on all platforms. On the same date as the PS5 release, a massive free update will be rolling out to all platforms, adding highly-requested features to the game. On top of that, a new story DLC titled Terran Armada is also dropping.

For a while, it was unclear whether or not Starfield would ever come to PS5 consoles, despite consistent rumours claiming that it would. Now after around two years of waiting, Bethesda has finally announced its plans. 

Earlier this week, Iron Galaxy appeared to be teasing something after posting about a company meeting, with an image attached of the Fallout 'Please Stand By' loading screen. Now after sending fans imaginations into overdrive, the studio has apologised.

For years, fans have wanted to see Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas remastered for newer hardware. Development may have actually just begun on that exact thing, according to a teaser from Iron Galaxy Studios.

For around a year now, there have been rumours of a major Starfield 2.0 update, one that would fix much of the criticism levied at the game at launch, while also bringing the game over to PS5 consoles. Unfortunately, one of those rumours has been shut down over the past week.

Bethesda Game Studios’ Creation Engine is a bit of a double edged sword. While the first-party engine certainly has its benefits, many of BGS’ biggest failings tech-wise can be attributed (at least partially) to it. Despite previously stating that The Elder Scrolls VI would make use of Starfield’s Creation Engine 2, Todd Howard has now revealed that TES6 will in fact be running on their newly-announced Creation Engine 3.

The game was announced far too early, back in 2018 and while fans knew that Starfield was the priority at the time, fans have not stopped asking about it. Todd Howard made a rare comment on the state of the game this week, saying that he too wished that things had moved faster.

2018 was a massive year for Bethesda Game Studios, with the team not only showing off Starfield for the first time during their E3 presentation, but also giving fans their first teaser for The Elder Scrolls VI. In the 7 years since, we’ve received little-to-nothing regarding the next Elder Scrolls, with Bethesda’s Todd Howard now claiming that the much-anticipated title is “still a long way off.”

Just under 10 years ago, Fallout 4 officially released to the world. While the game is far from perfect, it resonated with millions thanks to its sandbox-like design and focus on exploration among other ancillary additions (such as the settlement mechanic and base building). As they have done with many of their previous games, Bethesda has now officially announced Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition – bundling the base game alongside its DLC and hundreds of user-created mods.

While The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced back in 2018, Bethesda has been very quiet on the subject since. The studio has been ramping up work on the game since shipping Starfield in 2023. Now, one leaker claims that we still have another couple of years to wait.
