Razer launches the new Basilisk V3 35K mouse

Razer has unveiled two new additions to its Basilisk V3 gaming mouse lineup: the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, a fully customizable wireless ergonomic gaming mouse, and its wired counterpart, the Razer Basilisk V3 35K. Both variants bring significant QoL improvements to further improve personalisation.

Available in black and white, the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K retains the hallmark 13 customisable buttons, multi-zone Chroma RGB, and wireless charging capabilities. As for upgrades, there's the new Razer Focus Pro 35K optical sensor Gen-2, previously seen in the championship-winning Viper V3 Pro. This sensor promises accuracy on any surface and incorporates advanced features like Smart Tracking, which identifies surface types and adjusts the tracking algorithm, accordingly, ensuring exceptional performance across various materials. Additionally, the Motion Sync synchronises data from the input to the PC, resulting in more responsive tracking.

The extended battery life is a notable enhancement, with HyperSpeed Wireless enabling up to 140 hours (210 hours with Bluetooth) on a single charge. Another improvement is the configurable HyperScroll tilt wheel, allowing users to choose between free-spin and tactile incremental movements. With the new Smart-Reel mode, users can auto-switch between the two based on their scroll speed. Furthermore, gamers can customise their scroll acceleration settings to enhance their virtual scrolling speed.

The new Basilisk V3 35K maintains all the essential features of the Pro variant but in a wired version with a Speedflex connection to minimise drag. Scheduled for release on October 1st, 2024, the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K will be available for £159.99/$159.99/€179.99, while the Razer Basilisk V3 35K will be priced at £69.99/$69.99/€84.99.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
