Co-op rogue-like Wizard of Legend 2 launches in Early Access next week

Wizard of Legend is a fun top-down co-op rogue-like which featured a ton of cool abilities and interesting mechanics upon its release back in 2018. Following the success of the first game, a sequel was announced in 2023. Just one year later and the game is ready to enter Early Access – launching next week.

While the first game utilised a pixel art aesthetic, Wizard of Legend 2 takes things to the realm of 3D while maintaining that top-down/isometric view.

As with many rogue-like sequels, Wizard of Legend 2 will feature a mix of old and new, with both familiar and brand new arcana to wield, use and experiment with.

Interestingly, the sequel is not being worked on by the same developer as the original, with Contingent99 having developed the first game and Dead Mage handling the sequel.

That said, Dead Mage are not too unfamiliar with the format of Wizard of Legend, having created the isometric RPG Children of Morta back in 2019. Still, the shift in studio is an interesting one.

Hopefully the sequel proves to be just as great as the original. Wizard of Legend 2 launches in early access next week on the 3rd of October.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
