The Last of Us Part I Remake joins PS Plus Extra today

As part of Sony’s most recent State of Play, the console manufacturer announced the line-up of upcoming games set to join PlayStation Plus next month. In a surprise addition however, Sony also revealed that The Last of Us Part 1 is being added to PS Plus Extra today.

Available for those with a PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscription, The Last of Us needs little introduction, with the 2013 PS3 title in many ways setting the standard for narrative driven action-adventure games.

TLOU Part 1 is a PS5 remake which was released just over two years ago now, introducing significant visual enhancements and bringing the quality of Part I up to the standard set by 2020’s TLOU Part II.

In case you missed it, next month’s PS Plus line-up has also been revealed, with Essential players getting their hands on the Dead Space Remake, WWE 2K24 and Doki Doki Literature Club beginning on the 1st of October.

KitGuru says: How many times have you played the original TLOU? Have you experienced both games back-to-back? What do you think of Sony’s recent remasters/remakes? Let us know down below.

And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
