Baldur’s Gate 3 gets another massive patch with new cinematics and mods

Baldur's Gate 3 has just received its latest major update. Now rolling out on PC via platforms like Steam, the new patch arrives as a 12GB download, introducing new endings, bug fixes and most importantly, official mod support, along with the first wave of approved creations, which will be available in a Creation Club style store, similar to how Bethesda handles official mods for Fallout 4, Skyrim and Starfield.

Now, installing the patch may not be a simple affair for those with big digital libraries and minimal free space. While the patch itself is just 12GB, you will need 160GB of free storage space to install it. Larian advises that those without enough free space should uninstall the game entirely and re-download it. This process will install the latest version of the game, with the new patch improvements included.

Below are some of the highlights from the new patch:

  • Introducing ‘Evil Endings': Brand new cinematic endings for the truly villainous playthroughs.
  • Added our very own Mod Manager, which lets you browse, install, and use mods created by the community.
  • Revamped split screen gameplay: When playing on split screen, the two halves of the screen will now dynamically merge together when player characters come close to each other in-game, and dynamically split back up when the characters move apart. This revamp comes alongside many other improvements and polishes to improve the overall split screen experience.

There is also a whole new Honor Mode combat system, which will level up the challenge for hardcore players. Additionally, the full patch notes have a very lengthy list of various bug fixes and improvements made to all acts in the game. At launch, Baldur's Gate 3 began encountering some significant issues in later parts of the game but now a full year later, much of that has now been cleaned up, so you should be able to play through smoothly from start to finish.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
