Astro Bot director wants to bring the game to PC

While Astro Bot began life as a premier PSVR IP, Sony has since cut back its investment in VR games. The next Astro Bot game will be a classic platforming adventure game, returning to PlayStation's roots in many ways. While Astro Bot will be exclusive to PS5 at launch, the director is hoping to get a PC version greenlit.

Speaking to MinnMax, creative director, Nicolas Doucet, said there was “no chance” of the game coming to PSVR2. However, he is much more optimistic when it comes to getting the game on PC.

Doucet says the team “wants to hear” from the PC gaming community. If there is some demand for the game, then it may end up being next on the list for a PC port, following in the footsteps of franchises like Spider-Man, God of War, Horizon and Ratchet and Clank.

Astro Bot would also happen to make for a perfect Steam Deck game, and with the strength of the PC handheld market at the moment, it would be a shame for Sony to skip this one.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
